Easy Stain Removal After Your Holiday Party

Aren’t holiday parties are fantastic? It’s the best time of the year for everyone to come together. When you decide to host a holiday party, the last thing probably on your mind is “how will my carpet look after everyone is gone?”

Like me, your mind is on food preparation and setting up your home up so everyone is comfortable. You’ll probably clean your carpet cleaned before everyone arrives but when the party is over you’ll have new stains. During the holidays is when the juice spills and food stains seem to happen more frequently. You’ll also have family, friends and pets tracking in the unknown from the outside.

The sooner you focus on stain removal from the carpet, the better the chances are that you can keep the carpet in good condition. No need to panic or go frantic trying to find a piece of furniture to cover it up. Keep in mind that stain removal is a lot easier than you may think.

With a little quick thinking and a few things you may already have around the house, those stains can be remedied as though they never even happened. Here are 7 quick steps to follow for stain removal:

  • Blot up as much of the stain as feasible with a cloth or paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  • Dab the stain with a clean cloth that has been immersed in warm water.
  • Mix together white vinegar and water in equal parts in a spray bottle and insert two tbsp. of liquid dish soap.
  • Now spray the solution onto the area and allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Pat the area with a clean cloth dipped in clear water to rinse the area.
  • Place a fan nearby to help the carpet dry faster.
  • Vacuum the area after it is completely dry to fluff the pile back up.
